Some residents in Jacksboro without heat after gas shut off
Many residents in Jacksboro, located in Jack County, are without heat after Texas Gas shut off service to the entire city due to a problem with their main line, said City Manager Mike Smith. Warming stations were set up at the Twin Lakes Activity Center, FNB Scarborough Center and the Jack County Your Fair Barn. Stranded residents can request rides through the Sharp Van Lines at 800-633-0852.
Smith said it's unclear when gas service will be restored.
What will you do when the EPA bans all burning of wood.I know that everybody there hasn't got a fireplace but if your only heat is a gas furnace have you thought of supplemental heat for when that
goes away or the power goes out.Just a thought when I saw the story.Maybe someone will see this that hasn't thought about it and take some steps to fix that.Not likely but still just throwing it out there.
It's not only a life issue but it don't take long for pipes to freeze in an unheated home in this weather.
That'd be a hell of a thing to come home to after going to a warming station or somewhere else.
You would think people would know to shut off the water first.But you hear the stories all the time.

Update:The unicorn farts and giant bird killers still ain't working ERCOT urges conservation as cold temps fuel near record demand Well isn't that nice it's almost as if they are actively trying to kill people.Between running out of water energy and all those other things that make life grand you'd think they might rethink shit.Not the EPA and the tree huggers they will throw a wrench into any and all solutions to these problems hopefully there will be enough snail darters and Delta smelt to feed us all, well all those that are left anyways.Thank god for the government.
