A task force should take care of it
Cook County announces task force on cemetery violence
CHICAGO (CBS)— Violence at cemeteries, and during funeral processions, in Cook County is increasing.
A Hillside police chase is just one example of some of the violence. Chief Joe Lukaszek says three guns were recovered from the stolen SUV, which had just left a cemetery.
“There’s no respect for the dead anymore,” he said.
Cemeteries in Hillside are the final resting place for many gang members killed in Chicago. Funeral processions from the city often end up on the expressways, which lead to dangerous situations.
I would suggest Cook County combine all the existing task forces to find the solution to this problem.
A gubmint task force always pinpoints problems and comes up with effective solutions.
Four or five of em combined would be a force for good.
If only the NRA could get it's members in line we could have nice things.
I know the problem but nobody really wants to face that fact especially not a gubmint task force.

He'd flunk a 8th grade Civics class too
So color me unsurprised
NYT's Nicholas Kristof would flunk an 8th grade science test
It's often helpful for journalists who do not have specialized knowledge of complex scientific topics to write about them anyway, because if they can understand them and figure out how to communicate them, they can perform a tremendous public service. However, if journalists don't take the time to understand complex topics and get the very basics wrong, they do the public a massive disservice and end up looking like buffoons.
Which brings us to veteran New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, who studied law and fancies himself an expert in chemistry and toxicology. Chemists and toxicologists disagree.
His latest diatribe -- which was easily and thoroughly debunked by my colleagues Dr. Chuck Dinerstein and Ana Dolaskie -- begins with the single most shameless act of fearmongering I have ever seen from a major media outlet. He shows a bunch of common household products, all of which are perfectly safe, and asks, "What poisons are in your body?"
What NYT's columnists don't know is orders of magnitude higher than what they do know.
The comfortable smugness of idiots who know it all.
The one thing this asshole knows is he really likes N Korean pizza.
A fitting heir to Walter Duranty.

The hits keep coming
Once more some scumbag steals from me.
I just dug myself out of a my tools being stolen hole.
Now some scumbag is in the wind with 2 weeks worth of my work in his pocket that I'll never get.
It seems I am going about life the wrong way.
Maybe scumbag is the way to go. I don't know.
So I haven't much felt like doing any blogging.
Just letting you know I'm still kicking and banging my head against the wall.
I'll return at a later date.
Till then there's plenty of T&A in the previous 10,000 posts they'll seem like all brand new if you pretend.
This is starting to be a very poor year.
I blame George W Shrub.
Later.
