Farmer acquitted of producing milk without license H/T Drudge
Jurors found Vernon Hershberger, a 41-year-old Loganville, Wis., farmer, innocent of producing milk without a license, selling milk and cheese products without a license, and operating a retail establishment without a license. He was found guilty of one count of breaking a holding order issued by the state in June 2010, which barred him from moving any of the food he produced without a license.
Well good for him although his nightmare is most certainly not over they will be back for him count on it.Not counting the one guilty plea he'll have to deal with.I'm with the author of this piece that if all parties are aware of what they are buying and the possible consequences of drinking raw milk it is nobody's business if these people wish to consume or sell raw milk and other dairy products.Think of the wasted money on a 4 YEARinvestigation of this dubious made up crime of selling raw milk.I would have liked to have seen the jury nullify the whole fucking thing.The sad thing is this is not an isolated case this bullshit goes on all the time all over the country.I must say I am growing weary of the myriad local state and fed governments trying to save me from me.I don't want nor need to be nannied by anybody.I don't let my wife do it and I like her most of the time.Always remember just because it's the law don't make it right.
