Whoever invented polybutylene pipe needs to die

I guess my Mom had that piece of pipe replaced once before and they put in the polybutylene pipe from the meter to the backflow device for the sprinklers.
Not too bad so far but it goes under the sidewalk it's doable but a pain in the ass to repair a repair.
I have murder on my mind this morning but hopefully a dip in the pool will soothe this angry beast.
I will permanent the temporary fix another time preferably in a month ending in er.
