Man fatally shot with his own gun trying to stop burglar
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- Deputies said a 69-year-old homeowner died after he was shot by his own gun during a scuffle with an apparent burglar.
It happened around Friday 1:15 a.m. morning at a home on Amber Lake in northwest Harris County.
Sheriff's deputies said the man and his wife heard a noise downstairs in their garage. When the husband went down to investigate, somehow the burglar managed to take the homeowner's gun -- shooting him dead.
Of course I have no idea what went down could have ambushed him or something.
I hope he wasn't trying to reason with the bum and was unwilling to cap him.
You've got to be willing to use your heater if you have one in your hand.
Putting away the soapbox now.
RIP 69 year old homeowner.
