I'm thinking that's just a regular weekend in New York

21 people shot in NYC over the weekend

NEW YORK (AP) — A wave of violence swept New York City over the weekend as 21 people were shot, four of them fatally, authorities said Monday.
The shootings, which included the separate woundings of 10- and 12-year-old boys, made for the third weekend in June that at least a dozen people were shot, police said. In the last week of June, 35 people were shot, down from 39 gunshot victims the same week a year ago, according to New York Police Department statistics. A breakdown between those killed and those wounded was not immediately available.
This year, 611 people have been shot in the city compared with 554 for the same period last year.
"We've had an increase, a temporary increase, in shootings," Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said. "Crime goes up, it goes down."
After a crime drop in recent years, the spate of violence has raised alarms. A group of Brooklyn residents organized what they called an "emergency town hall meeting" Monday.

No word how how many teens utes were involved.I thought guns were against the law there.Well unless you are a one percenter of course.
I could take the number of shootings and divide by the number of weeks but I'm too lazy.Maybe if I got paid like the author of this story I would do it.Off the top of my head looks like an average week in Gotham.
Why can't people get it through their thick heads not to shoot folks.I'm sure this is all my fault because of my fetish for wanting to fellate the Constitution.
Still the number of shootings around Bubbaville remains at zero.I wonder what is causing that.
I need some excitement dammit.
