Just woke up here. I go out on the porch with my coffee and have a smoke every morning.Everything is real slow and easy there.I was just thinking to myself every time I go to the homestead I go native.Let me splain to ya'll.We have internet there but I rarely get on it not even to check Insty and Wirecutter usually my first 2 stops in the morning.But I just don't feel the need there.I get in a pattern there since there are no official duties I do whatever the hell I want.Which usually means piddling around the spread or take a spin down to the river or hanging with my uncle Jack and aunt Ruby very cool folks by the way.But the best thing is the beer joint The Slab House we usually meander our way there bout 4:00 not every day but close.There is always something going on at the slab.But the best part is most of my kin I don't get along with don't go there so it's a win-win.Most of the one's I'm close to frequent that place so I don't have to drive around to visit.I wonder why that is.So after a couple of weeks of that and it's hard to come home and have structure in your life.In the afternoons now I'm wanting to hit the slab but alas I'm in Texas and don't have a decent beer joint within 30 miles sigh.
