Longtime Dallas Cowboys quarterback Danny White doesn’t only believe that Tony Romo is a great signal caller, he says he’d take Romo over the likes of Peyton Manning.
In an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio this week, White opined that Romo is THE quarterback for the Cowboys at the moment, the right man for the job. And, echoing what many other ex-players have said over recent years, White made clear that he doesn’t believe Romo is the problem--quite the opposite.
“I don’t know if there’s ever been a more athletic quarterback,” White said, via the Dallas Morning News. “People keep saying they need to get somebody else, I don’t think there’s another quarterback in the league that would be a better fit for the Cowboys and what they need, because he has to be able to move. He has to be able to improvise, with the offense he’s got. He does that better than anybody ... I’m a Peyton Manning fan, I’m a fan of all those guys, but they’re not the guy that the Cowboys need.”
