Why don't the Sergeant Major start taking E-1 pay or I can figure out the difference for him and he can just send it to me.
Better yet he can just give me access to his MyPay and I'll do it myself.Oh and that retirement I'll need that too.
Also that Tri-Care he wouldn't have any need for that now would he.While we're at it that BAH yeah I'll need that too.Barracks are way cool.
His wife and kids well he wasn't issued those so who cares about those drains on readiness and discipline.
Maybe he could hit up supply for some field gear and they can make house out by the NCO club.

Marine Corps Sergeant Major:Poor Marines are best for the Corps

Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Micheal Barrett says Marines don’t spend much time thinking about compensation and benefits. ‘They don’t want an easy life,’ he told lawmakers Wednesday. ‘They want to be tougher people.’
Lower pay and slimmed-down benefits will make Marines more disciplined and less wasteful, according to the Corps’ top enlisted Marine.
In comments before a Senate Armed Services Committee panel on Wednesday, Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Micheal Barrett dismissed lawmaker concerns that proposed compensation trims in the Pentagon’s fiscal 2015 budget proposal would hurt troops’ morale or desire to serve.

It reminds me of this story Sergeant Majors Academy spokesman admits E-9's are"Pretty Much Worthless'

FORT BLISS, Texas — Sergeants Major across the Army have reacted with stunned outrage after candid comments from a spokesman for the Sergeants Major Academy were included in a recent story in the Army Times newspaper.
Command Sgt. Maj. Rory Malloy, current commandant of the Sergeants Major Academy system of professional NCO education, admitted during an interview with Times’ reporter Leo Shane that the rank and position were both “pretty much worthless.”
Malloy also went on to describe how the position of sergeant major was simply a by-product of having to put someone in charge of the first sergeants. “There was really no other reason for it,” he said.
“We [at the Sergeant Major Academy] tried to do our best to minimize the damage this position could inflict on the functional Army, teaching things like uniform standards, blind adherence to outdated regulations, and a total disregard for the Army training cycle,” Malloy says in the interview, which was published Tuesday. “Unfortunately the whole thing took on a life of its own. Soon command sergeants major were getting their own parking spots and being allowed to speak in settings they had no business being in, like training meetings.”

The old man would be pretty pissed at the Sgt.Maj. what a dickhead.I don't know if he would rip out his eyes and skull fuck him maybe just a rung under that.

Good catch Dapandico!
